Summary

The solution of compression of a ring to large deformations is presented. The ring deformations are described by the Green strain tensor. Incompressibility of the material and Mooney's equation for description of its nonlinear properties are assumed. Internal friction, both independent and dependent of the strain rate, is taken into account. Sliding of the ring on the plates which compress it, and dissipation of energy in this surfaces are considered. Numerical solution has been obtained by optimization procedures, minimizing some incremental functional for the discretized ring.

Übersicht

Behandelt wird die Kompression eines Ringes zu großen Deformationen. Die Deformationen des Ringes werden durch den Greenschen Deformationstensor beschrieben. Inkompressibilität des Materials und die Mooney-Gleichung zur Beschreibung der nichtlinearen Eigenschaften werden zugrunde gelegt. Von der Deformationsgeschwindigkeit abhängige als auch unabhängige innere Reibung ist berücksichtigt. Das Gleiten des Ringes an den Druckplatten und Dissipation der Energie auf diesen Oberflächen ist zugelassen. Eine numerische Lösung wurde erhalten durch Optimierungsverfahren, welche gewisse inkrementelle Funktionale für den diskretisierten Ring minimieren.
