Nachweis cyclischer Dicarbonsäureanhydride durch Dünnschicht-Chromatographie ihrer Reaktionsprodukte mit p-Anisidin

Summary

The reaction with p-anisidine in boiling acetone has been used as preparatory step for a TLC method making possible sensitive detection and identification of cyclic dicarboxylic anhydrides even in the presence of large quantities of free dicarboxylic acids. TLC of the reaction products was carried out on high purity binder-free silica gel with benzene/tetrahydrofuran/propanoic acid (80∶30∶5) as mobile phase. A hydrochloric acid solution of 4-dimethylaminobenzaldehyde was employed as spraying reagent. The limit of detection is 1 μg of the anhydride.

Zusammenfassung

Die Reaktion mit p-Anisidin in siedendem Aceton wurde als Vorstufe zu einer dünnschicht-chromatographischen Methodik benutzt, die es erlaubt, cyclische Dicarbonsäureanhydride auch in Gegenwart großer Mengen von freien Dicarbonsäuren empfindlich nachzuweisen und zu identifizieren. Die Dünnschicht-Chromatographie der Reaktionsprodukte wurde an hochreinem, bindemittelfreiem Kieselgel mit Benzol/Tetrahydrofuran/ Propionsäure (80∶30∶5) als mobiler Phase durchgeführt. 4-Dimethylamino-benzaldehyd diente als Nachweisreagens. Noch 1 μg Anhydrid konnte erfaßt werden.
