Abstract
Addition of a small amount of oxygen to synthesis gas promotes the formation of oxygen-containing compounds (methanol, dimethyl ether) during the hydrogénation of CO over palladium supported on zirconium, aluminum, magnesium, lanthanum, and silicon oxides. The maximum effect on the rate of formation of oxygen-containing compounds was observed with 0.5–2.0 vol.% of oxygen in synthesis gas.
