Summary
Very small amounts of iridium in uranium oxide have been quantitatively determined by neutron-activation analysis. Iridium was separated from uranium prior to irradiation by means of an anion-exchange resin. After a decay period of twelve days the activity of 192Ir in the undestroyed silica ampoule was measured in a well-type cristal without any chemical operation.
