Acetals of lactams and acid amides. 37. Reactions of amide and lactam acetals with derivatives of urea and urethane and synthesis of condensed pyrimidines

Abstract

The reactions of diethylacetals of dimethylacetami de and N-methylbutyro-, -valero-, and -caprolactams with urea, thiourea, and urethane lead to the corresponding N-carbamide- and N-ethoxycarbonylamides, on the basis of which derivatives of pyrimidine and pyrrolo- and pyrido[2,3-d]pyrimidine and pyrimido[4,5-b]azepine, as well as triazole derivatives, were synthesized.
