Reactions of 5-aminopyrimidines with phosphorus pentachloride

Abstract

5-Amino-4, 6-dichloro-, 5-amino-4-chloro-6-methoxy-, and 5-amino-4-chloro-6-morpholinopyrimidines react with PCl5 to form monomeric 5-(trichlorophosphoranyleneamino)pyrimidines.
