Chemistry of Heterocyclic Compounds Aims and scope

Abstract

Treatment of 1-aeyl-3-arylazoindoles with zinc in acetic acid in the presence of acetic anhydride and sodium acetate leads to 12-acetamidoindolo [1,2-c]quinazolines. 12-Aminoindolo[1,2-c]quinazolines are obtained when the reaction is carried out in the absence of acetic anhydride and sodium acetate.
