Outcome of pregnancy in a phenylketonuric mother after low phenylalanine diet introduced from the ninth week of pregnancy

Abstract

A mother with classical phenylketonuria was treated from the ninth week of pregnancy with a tyrosine augmented, low phenylalanine diet. Assessment of the infant up to the age of twelve months suggests normal development, although further follow up is planned.
