Summary
The result of 13 Silastic prosthesis of Swanson's design in 12 cases is reported. In some cases the prosthesis is to short. The resulting diastasis develops either a proximal migration of the radius or calcification around the prosthesis. The functional endresult is influenced by this.
Zusammenfassung
Es wird über das Ergebnis von 13 Swanson-Silastikprothesen bei 12 Verletzten berichtet. Für manche Fälle ist die Prothese zu kurz. Die verbleibende Diastase führt entweder zum Ellenvorschub oder zu Verknöcherungen um die Prothese. Das funktionelle Ergebnis wird dadurch beeinflußt.
