Summary

A summary of the up-to-now published 31 cases in which a lumbosacral spondylodeses has been done by using the Harrington sacral bar will be given. It will be reported about the own experiences in lumbosacral spondylodesis with this method. The lumbosacral spondylodesis has been necessary in 4 cases because of pains and outranges according to this as bases and in 5 cases because of other indications. A newly developed, divided sacral bar will be announced. With this the known complications of the original sacral bar might be abolished largely.

Zusammenfassung

Es wird eine Übersicht über die bisher in der Literatur veröffentlichten 31 Fälle, bei denen eine lumbosacrale Spondylodese unter Benutzung des Harrington-Sacralstabes durchgeführt wurde, gegeben. Es wird über die eigenen Erfahrungen an Hand von neun lumbosacralen Spondylodesen mit dieser Methode berichtet. Die lumbosacrale Spondylodese war in 4 Fällen wegen einer Spondylolysthesis mit entsprechenden Beschwerden und Ausfällen und in 5 Fällen wegen anderer Indikationen notwendig. Es wird ein neu entwickelter, geteilter Sacralstab angegeben. Mit diesem können die bekannten Komplikationen des Original-Sacralstabes weitgehend vermieden werden.
