Vergleichende experimentelle Untersuchungen über das Ausmaß der Skleraschrumpfung bei Elektrocoagulation und Kryothermie

By means of experimental investigations the shrinking degree of the sclera was compared in electrocoagulation and cryothermy. There always resulted an essential shrinking of the sclera in eleetrocoagulation, even when the dosage of eleetrocoagulation, in contrary with the commune techniques of surgical intervention, was chosen so small, that the sclera does not change colour in the district of the focus but only shows a certain transparance of the tissue. In cryothermy there war no measurable shrinking of the sclera even with a dosage which was extremely higher than possible for cryopexy of the detached retina.

Zusammenfassung

Vergleichende experimentelle Untersuchungen über die Größe der Lederhautschrumpfung bei Elektrocoagulation und Kryothermie ergaben, daß es bei Elektrocoagulation stets zu einer wesentlichen Lederhautschrumpfung kommt. Dies ist auch dann der Fall, wenn in operationstechnisch unüblicher Weise die Elektrocoagulation so gering dosiert wird, daß eine Verfärbung der Sklera im Herdbereich nicht zustande kommt und sich hier nur eine gewisse Gewebstransparenz zeigt. Bei Kryothermie unterbleibt jede meßbare Schrumpfung der Sklera auch dann, wenn extrem weit über das bei der Kryopexie der Netzhautablösung erforderliche Maß hinausgehend dosiert wird.
