Summary

The clinical and histological findings in 3 patients with secondary corneal amyloidosis after endothelial decompensation of many years duration are reported on. Clinically a massivel corneal pannus with yellowish inclusions and a rough surface was seen. Histologically amyloid was found solely within the area of the pannus, leaving the stroma free of deposits.

The differential diagnosis to other forms of corneal amyloidosis is discussed.
