Die myotendinitis crepitans des M. Abd. poll. long. und Ext. poll. brev. mit reaktiver Cheralgia paraesthetica

Summary

15 patients–among them 10 bricklayers—were observed with a peracute painful swelling of the long abductor and the short extensor of the thumb following a short strain of the hand. This swelling could reach the size of an egg and was accompanied by crepitation which could be heard and felt. A concomitant neuralgic pain deriving from the superficial branch of the radial nerve was observed in 5 cases. The author discusses pathogenesis and therapy of this syndrome.

Zusammenfassung

Es wurden 15 Patienten — darunter 10 Maurer — beobachtet, die nach kürzerer Überbelastung der Hand eine perakut auftretende bis hühnereigroße, schmerzhafte Schwellung des langen Daumenabduktors und kurzen Daumenextensors aufwiesen, wobei jede Daumenbewegung von hör- und tast-barer Crepitation begleitet war. Bei 5 Fällen war klinisch eine Mitbeteiligung des Ramus superficialis N. radialis im Sinne einer Cheiralgia paraesthetica vorhanden, einer dieser Fälle wies ein eindeutig pathologisches Elektromyo- bzw. Elektroneurogramm auf. Die mögliche Pathogenese und Therapie dieses Krankheitsbildes werden diskutiert.
