Summary
-
1.
A 55-year-old female patiens was treated with ACTH and corticoids over a 5 year-period for Pemphigus vulgaris. 3 1/2 years after the beginning of hormone treatment the patiens developed an endocrine psychosyndrome with pronounced loss of psychic drive.
-
2.
Recent research data in endocrinology, neuroendocrinology of behavior, and neuropathology are discussed to illustrate the close interrelationship between the endocrine- and central nervous systems.
-
3.
The disorder in the psychic drive of the patient may be understood as sign of “regulator exhaustion” — in the sense of regulation pathology — in the vegetative endocrine centers of the hypothalamus.
Zusammenfassung
-
1.
