Temperaturabhängigkeit der Phasen des Teilungszyklus von Tetrahymena pyriformis HSM

Summary

The duration of the cell cycle, macronuclear DNA synthetic period, presynthetic and postsynthetic period was determined in Tetrahymena at different temperatures in a medium containing 0.4% protein. The relative length of all these phases remains constant over the range from 19°C to 27°C. The implication of these findings with the control of the cell cycle and its parts is discussed.
