Summary
A method has been developed for the determination of tin in high-purity gallium using HG-GFAAS. Stannane was generated and collected in 0.01 mol/l silver nitrate solution and tin was determined by GFAAS. Silver nitrate solution acts as a trapping agent as well as a chemical modifier for the enhancement of the tin absorbance signal. The limit of detection is 36 μg/kg. The recovery of tin is 90–100%. Molybdenum was used as an additional modifier.
