Allergische Reaktionen gegen Pyrazolonderivate

Aminophenazone as cause of allergic reactions

Abstract

One case of thrombocytopenic purpura and two cases of suffocation of persons with bronchial asthma following the ingestion of therapeutic dosages of Aminophenazone are described. A possible explanation for the conspicuous frequency of such rare cases of allergic reactions due to Aminophenazone might be, that on the occasion of autopsies no suspicion of drug-induced allergy arises and therefore no toxicological analyses are conducted. The pathological diagnosis is restricted to “death caused by the primary or idiopathic disease”.

Zusammenfassung

Es wird über einen Fall einer tödlich verlaufenen thrombocytopenischen Purpura und zwei Fällen von an Asthma bronchiale leidenden Personen berichtet, die nach Einnahme therapeutischer Dosen Pyramidon verstarben, so daß eine allergische Reaktion als Ursache angenommen werden muß. Eine mögliche Erklärung für die auffällige Häufung dieser an sich kaum beobachteten Fälle kann darin erblickt werden, daß anläßlich der Sektionen von Asthmatikern und Personen mit thrombocytopenischen Blutungen die Grunderkrankung selbst als Todesursache angenommen oder die Erkrankung als „idiopathisch” bezeichnet wird, ohne daß toxikologische Untersuchungen durchgeführt werden.
