Summary

In Rana temporaria, the organon vasculosum laminae terminalis is a highly vascularized organ which contains catecholaminergic cells and nerve fibres. Its ependymal cells are characterized by the presence of typical autofluorescent cytoplasmic granules. Intraependymal vacuolar spaces are described.
