Summary

Alpha-feto-protein can be detected in the dried bloodstains of fetal blood, blood from pregnant women, and in the amniotic fluid by radio-immunoassay. Alpha-feto-protein alone is not sufficient from exact differentiation. In addition, quantitative analysis of the total protein or electrophoresis is required.

Zusammenfassung

Alpha-Fetoprotein läßt sich durch radioimmunologische Bestimmung in den getrockneten Spuren von fetalem Blut, Schwangerenblut und Fruchtwasser nachweisen. Eine eindeutige Zuordnung durch den bestimmten Wert ist nicht möglich. Eine zusätzliche Bestimmung des Gesamteiweißes oder eine elektrophoretische Trennung ist erforderlich.
