Die Spirometrie ist eine einfache und rasch durchführbare Lungenfunktionsuntersuchung zur orientierenden Einteilung von obstruktiven und restriktiven Ventilationsstörungen. In einer Kinderarzt-Praxis ist sie ein hilfreiches Instrument, da sie wichtige Informationen zur Frage weiterer Diagnostik oder Therapien liefert. Sie dient der Einschätzung des Schweregrades und hilft bei der Verlaufsbeurteilung.
