Abstract
The strategy of recovering technical systems with unmatched functions of distribution of mean time between failures (MTBF) in emergency and preventive recoveries is considered. The optimality of a strategy is determined by its minimal operating expenditures (mean expenditures on recovery per unit of time). A formula of the rate of expenditures is obtained that depends on the cost of recoveries and time for preventive recoveries. For different laws of distribution, conditions are defined in which the proposed strategy should be implemented.
