Polysulfide Anticorrosion Sealants and Corrosion Preventive Compounds (Literature Review)

Abstract—Polysulfide sealants and inhibiting (corrosion preventive) compositions of domestic and foreign manufacturers, which provide corrosion protection of structural elements of aviation equipment, are considered. An analysis of scientific and technical information according to literary sources on sealing, anticorrosive materials and anticorrosive sealants was carried out. Advantages of polysulfide sealant grades from PPG Aerospace, 3M and Chemetall, the SOCOMORE preventive composition and domestic inhibitory compositions PINS-AT and VIPS-1 are described.
