Development and Theoretical Grounding of Technologies for the Production of Seamless Three-Layer Bimetallic Pipes

Abstract

For the first time in world practice, we have developed technology for the production of seamless three-layer bimetallic pipes at a size (426–820)Si(426–820)(Si.ss + Si.cs + Si.ss)Li mm with an increased operation resource for the chemical and oil refining industry, transportation of gas and gas condensate with a high content of hydrogen sulfide, as well as nuclear power facilities and military-industrial complex. In order to reduce or completely exclude rejections of commercial three-layer bimetallic pipes, it was proposed to roll hot-rolled carbonized steel pipes on CRP rolling mills with a wall compression of 5–6 mm. To improve mechanical properties of steel 08Х18Н10Т in three-layer bimetallic pipes, bimetallic machined billet pipes with a diameter of 426 and 465 mm are proposed to roll at the CRP mill into cold-rolled bimetallic pipes with diameters of 377 and 426 mm. The production of bimetallic pipes with diameters of 720 and 820 mm is proposed to carry out with double pressing (expansion) on a horizontal press of conversion three-layer bimetallic pipes with a diameter of 325 mm into conversion bimetallic pipes with a diameter of 530 mm, followed by expansion into commercial pipes with diameters of 720 and 820 mm. For the production of three-layer bimetallic pipes with a diameter of 426–820 mm by pressing, it is necessary to process bimetallic machined billet pipes with a size of 377SiLi and 426SiLi mm, a diameter tolerance of ±1.0% and a wall thickness of ±10%.
