Abstract
The assessment of the water-physical parameters of soils by indirect geophysical indicators is rather simple and enables the characterization of environmental objects of various volumes. This article presents the results of the determination of kinematic parameters of elastic waves in clay soils with different values of the liquidity index. At the transition from soils of solid consistency to semi-solid and low plastic soils, the ratio between the velocities of the secondary and primary waves correlates with the liquidity index of clay soils.
