Abstract
A procedure was developed for preparing Mn(II) and Co(II) triuranates MIIU3O10·6H2O by the reaction of schoepite UO3·2.25H2O with aqueous solutions of Mn(II) and Co(II) nitrates. Methods of hightemperature X-ray diffraction, IR spectroscopy, thermal analysis, and chemical analysis were used for determining the composition and structure of the compounds and for studying their dehydration and thermal decomposition.
