Abstract

Emissivity of the elements of the fourth group (titanium, zirconium, tin, and lead) of the periodic table is experimentally determined using the absolute radiation method in inert-gas or vacuum. The experiments are carried out on an originally designed and constructed experimental stand. The temperature dependences of the normal integral emissivity are investigated in solid and liquid phases. The temperatures are limited by the vapor pressure of the heated substances up to the limiting state of the boiling of the elements.
