Abstract
This work is devoted to analysis and generalization of the kinetic criteria of vitrification using the model of delocalized atoms. The generalized criterion of a liquid–glass transition is proposed. Liquid transfers to the frozen vitreous state when its cooling rate q = dT/dt reaches a certain part of Cg of the characteristic cooling rate qg = Tg/τg closely connected with the relaxation time of the structure τg at the glass transition temperature Tg.
