Abstract
Standard enthalpies of combustion and formation of crystalline DL-valyl-DL-leucine are calculated. The thermal effects of the dissolution of crystalline DL-valyl-DL-leucine in aqueous and potassium hydroxide solutions at 298.15 K are determined via direct calorimetry. Standard enthalpies of formation of the peptide and the products of its dissociation in an aqueous solution are calculated.
