An interpolation method in measurements of time intervals via their direct coding

Abstract

A simple direct-coding interpolator with a secured monotonicity of the quantization characteristic of an interpolated time interval at the limiting operation speed of the used circuitry components and with automatic matching of the coarse and precise reading scales at the hardware level is described.
