Abstract
Results of ground-based microwave measurements of diurnal variations of the ozone content in the stratosphere and mesosphere over Central Asia are given. The increase in ozone concentration at night at a height level of 50 km on 30–40% and at a height level of 60 km on 50–80% in comparison with day values is observed. At heights below 50 km, diurnal variations of ozone are not revealed within the measuring error. It is shown that interdaily changes of the night ozone content in the upper stratosphere and in the lower mesosphere take place. A comparison of the results of ground-based microwave sounding with the data of the MLS AURA orbital tool is given.
