Beam dynamics for beam commissioning of RAON linac and KoBRA beam line

Abstract

The beam commissioning of the low-energy part in the RAON (rare-isotope accelerator complex for on-line experiment) facility started from the injector in August 2021. This paper presents beam dynamics studies of argon beams used in the beam commissioning of the injector, the low-energy part of superconducting linac and KoBRA (KOrea Broad acceptance Recoil spectrometer and Apparatus) beam line, and bismuth beams as reference beams of the superconducting linac. The contents are the beam dynamics simulation including beam matching in order to obtain set values of the linac and orbit correction studies for checking the steering scheme.
