Abstract

A nano- metallic slot waveguide is introduced for generating of continuous terahertz (THz) wave radiation based on difference frequency generation (DFG). The waveguide is designed to support both the optical and THz waves. Properties of the guided modes are investigated by finite difference time domain (FDTD) method. Tuneabality and phase matching condition from 13 to 20 THz is investigated.
