Abstract

The systematic investigation of ground-state shape evolution from γ-unstable O(6) to spherical U(5) for even −even 112−134Te has been presented by using the quadrupole moment-constrained Hartree–Fock–Bogoliubov (HFB) method. By examining potential energy curves of Te isotopes, it has been suggested that 124Te nucleus may hold E(5) symmetry.
