Abstract
Graphene has many interesting electro-optical properties that makes it suitable for designing optical devices. A resonant ring was designed based on Graphene ribbons inside a SiO2 substrate. The proposed resonant ring was composed of a hexagon shaped ring sandwiched between two parallel waveguides. The proposed structure has a resonant mode at 12,600 nm. We also analyzed the effect of structural parameters on the resonant mode of the proposed filter. It has been shown that by increasing the size of the ring the resonant modes shift toward higher wavelengths. Then based on the results for the resonant ring, two optical demultiplexers with two and four different resonant modes was proposed and designed.
