Study of Local Stresses and Strains in Welded Joints of Steel 03Kh17N9M3 Pipe Fittings by Computer Modeling Methods

An analysis is made of local residual stresses in an annular weld formed on two pipes of steel 03Kh17N9M3. The weld was made by orbital welding with a non-fusible electrode in protective gases. The welding operation was studied by computer modeling with the use of the finite-elements method.
