The interaction of coumarin-6 and eosin-Y with particles of protonated potassium polytitanate (PPPT) was studied by luminescence spectral methods. It was established that the anisotropy of the fluorescence of coumarin-6 and eosin-Y in a suspension of PPPT is higher than in ethanol. This can be explained by bonding of the dyes with PPPT particles. The extinction coefficients of coumarin-6 (λ = 460 nm) ε = 25,000 M−1·cm−1 and eosin-Y (525 nm) ε = 36,000 M−1·cm−1 were determined from the absorption spectra of the dyes. It was shown that coumarin-6 and eosin-Y can be used for sensitization of PPPT.
