The article discusses the stages of determining the fault localization in a 10-kV overhead line during the breakage of the phase wire with and without a single-phase ground short circuit and in an automated detection system for the damaged section of the overhead line of an electrical network. A comparative analysis was performed for the durations of the technological disturbances and power supply interruptions, and the damaged area under voltage and the fault localization were determined.
