Abstract
In this reply the assumption of the mixing velocity \(w_m\) assumed in the original paper by Kundu is clarified. As a first approximation, Kundu’s choice can be used. For for generalization, the model suggested by the commenter can be adopted. Apart from it, for the application of Kundu’s model, a prediction of the parameter \(\mu\) is suggested using regression analysis. This regression model can be used along with the original model and it can be easily modified for larger data sets.
