Reply to "Comments on modeling stratified suspension concentration distribution in turbulent flow using fractional advection-diffusion equation" by R. Absi

Abstract

In this reply the assumption of the mixing velocity $w_m$ assumed in the original paper by Kundu is clarified. As a first approximation, Kundu’s choice can be used. For for generalization, the model suggested by the commenter can be adopted. Apart from it, for the application of Kundu’s model, a prediction of the parameter $\mu$ is suggested using regression analysis. This regression model can be used along with the original model and it can be easily modified for larger data sets.
