Abstract

The article describes the computer model based improvement of the automatic operating system (AOS) of the biotechnical system (BTS) of the “patient – insulin dispenser” insulin therapy with the most advanced intraperitoneal insulin pump. The mathematical model is constructed, and numeral experiments for achieving normoglycemia in a patient with Diabetes mellitus (DM) with varying degrees of severity, various types of their primary hyperglycemic profile, and their nutrition regime are carried out. It is established that during the first 24 hours of the insulin therapy, BTS working allows for the possibility of reducing any hyperglycemic profile of a patient with DM to the target normoglycemic profile of a healthy person, and then of supporting it for an unlimited time. Using the above BTS, the main threefold insulin therapy problem of the full DM compensation in the patient can be solved.
