Heteropolyacid catalyzed formation of thioparabanic acid derivatives

Abstract

A heteropoly acid-catalyzed reaction between amines, ammonium thiocyanate, and oxalate esters is reported. This route turned out to be a useful method for the preparation of thioparabanic acid derivatives.
