Abstract

Voltage-controlled nonreciprocal frequency bands and inversion of nonreciprocity sign have been observed at microwaves with metastructures ferrite plate/array of magnetically excited varactor-loaded double split rings as well as twice split rings placed along rectangular waveguide axis. The effects are due to the nonreciprocal absorbing under interaction between ferromagnetic resonance in ferrite and magnetic resonance in rings (≪ wavelength) which are excited by microwave magnetic field h. It has been also investigated controlled nonreciprocal metastructures with ferrite and varactor-loaded single dipole in the form of butterfly as well as twice split ring as twin half-wave dipoles under excitation of dipole resonance by microwave electric field E. Mechanism of control is discussed.
