Abstract

The problem of shaft rotation monitoring for industrial equipment continuous testing using radar sensor is considered in this paper. 77-GHz FMCW radar is used to irradiate the rotating shaft and to extract information about evenness of its rotation. A testbed is developed, and radar reflections are registered. Real-life signals are then analyzed, and an approach for signal processing and a decision-making rule are offered.
