Zusammenfassung
Die Notfallnarkose, Atemwegssicherung und Beatmung sind zentrale therapeutische Maßnahmen in der Notfall- und Akutmedizin. Ohne eine suffiziente Oxygenierung und Ventilation sind alle anderen therapeutischen Maßnahmen unsinnig, da der Patient verstirbt. Basis- und ggf. auch erweiterte Maßnahmen im Atemwegsmanagement müssen je nach Berufsstand von jedem in diesem Bereich Tätigen sicher beherrscht werden. Daher ist eine fundierte Ausbildung am Simulator und am Patienten unter Anleitung erfahrener ärztlicher Anwender für Alle in der Notfall- und Akutmedizin essenziell. Neben der Fertigkeit der eigentlichen Maßnahme sind vor allem eine exakte Vorbereitung mit Präoxygenierung sowie Planung und Patientenlagerung unabdingbar. Eine gerichtete Teamkommunikation, ein klarer Handlungsplan inklusive möglicher Reserve- bzw. Alternativstrategien und die Antizipation möglicher Komplikationen sind obligat.
