Zusammenfassung
Die Einbindung von Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologie (IKT) in produktionsbezogene Servicesysteme schafft neue Wertschöpfungspotenziale, ist jedoch von hoher Komplexität geprägt und stellt für viele Unternehmen eine Herausforderung im Kontext der Digitalisierung dar. Der Plattformansatz, verbunden mit einem Verständnis von Dienstleistung unter dem Paradigma modularer Servicearchitekturen, wurde als vielversprechende Herangehensweise identifiziert, um die systematische Entwicklung neuartiger digitalisierter Servicesysteme zu ermöglichen. Diese Fallstudie untersucht, wie der Plattformansatz für die Entwicklung und Realisierung IKT-gestützter integrierter Lösungen bei produzierenden Unternehmen im Maschinenbaubereich umgesetzt werden kann. Auf Basis der Analyse von sechs durchgeführten Interviews bei einem mittelständischen Fertigungsunternehmen sowie ergänzender Sekundärdaten wurde festgestellt, dass der Fokus des Plattformansatzes eines Unternehmens von seiner Stellung innerhalb seines Ökosystems, der Möglichkeit zur Nutzung von IT-Infrastrukturen und dem Ursprung der Daten zur Entwicklung von Dienstleistungen abhängt. Darauf basierend wurden vier Plattformansätze mit unterschiedlichen Schwerpunkten charakterisiert. Der vorliegende Beitrag greift damit die dominante Rolle von Plattformen sowie damit einhergehender Multiakteurskonstellationen bei der Dienstleistungserbringung durch Servicesysteme auf und beschreibt mögliche Ausprägungen von Plattformansätzen als Fundierung für eine gestaltungsorientierte Entwicklung neuartiger digitalisierter Servicesysteme.
