Zusammenfassung
Der Einsatz von Mikroorganismen, isolierten Enzymen oder ganzen Zellen in biotechnologischen Prozessen stellt spezielle Anforderungen an die Reaktionstechnik. Besonderes Augenmerk liegt dabei auf der Wahl der richtigen Rühr- und Begasungstechnik. Außerdem ist häufig ein steriles Arbeiten unabdingbar. In diesem Kapitel werden diese Aspekte genauer beleuchtet. Darüber hinaus erfolgt ein Exkurs zu den Photo- und Mikrobioreaktoren als speziellere Vertreter dieser Gruppe. Abschließend wird die Bedeutung der biochemischen Reaktoren für die Industrie u. a. anhand des Frings-Acetators gezeigt.
