Zusammenfassung

In dem behandelten Zeitraum der Frühen Neuzeit sind die markantesten Gerichtsstätten die sogenannten „Tempel“ des Rechts: speziell für diese Funktion entworfene Räume und Gebäude mit dauerhaftem Charakter. Die Konfliktlösung fand jedoch ursprünglich im Freien statt und die Offenheit des freien Himmels sollte für lange Zeit ein wiederkehrendes Element der Rechtsarchitektur bleiben.
