Revisionsendoprothetik des Hüftgelenkes: Entfernung festsitzender Implantate und der Einsatz von Spezialinstrumentarium

Zusammenfassung

Die Entfernung der zu revidierenden Implantate ist ein entscheidender Schritt für einen erfolgreichen Revisionseingriff. Der ohnehin vorhandene Knochenverlust darf nicht zusätzlich vergrößert werden, neurovaskuläre Strukturen und die Muskulatur müssen geschont werden. Mit einer Vielzahl von Instrumenten wie Meißeln, Bohrern und speziellen Extraktionsinstrumenten lassen sich festsitzende Implantate meistens ohne größeren zusätzlichen Knochenverlust entfernen. Die Implantatentfernung bedarf wie die Implantation einer präoperativen Planung. Größe und Typ der Implantate sollten bekannt sein, gegebenenfalls sind spezielle Instrumente beim Implantathersteller zu bestellen.
