Zusammenfassung

Die postoperativen Morbiditäts- und Letalitätsraten sowie Langzeitergebnisse nach Karotisendarteriektomie (CEA), Karotisstenting, nach Behandlung des intakten und rupturierten Bauchaortenaneurysmas (AAA) sowie nach endovaskulärer und offener Behandlung von Patienten mit Claudicatio intermittens und kritischer Extremitätenischämie werden dargestellt. Unterschieden wird zwischen den in Registern berichteten Resultaten und den Ergebnissen, die in randomisierten Studien erzielt wurden. Speziell bei CEA und Behandlung des AAA lässt sich eine eindeutige Abhängigkeit der Ergebnisse von der Erfahrung des Zentrums nachweisen. Für einen Ergebnisvergleich ist des Weiteren eine Risikostratifizierung der Daten unabdingbar sowie die Befolgung von Standards der Ergebnisberichterstattung. Ungeplante Krankenhauswiederaufnahmen sind ein wichtiger Qualitätsparameter, weshalb zur Kontrolle ein Minimum von 30 Tagen für die postoperative Komplikationsberichterstattung zu fordern ist.
