Zusammenfassung

Den von pflegenden Angehörigen vielfach geäußerten positiven Aspekte der Pflege stehen häufig zahlreiche pflegebedingte Stressoren gegenüber, die ein hohes Maß an Ressourcen und Anpassungsfähigkeit verlangen. In der Summe können diese Anforderungen leicht zu Überlastungssituationen und nachfolgend zu einer Verschlechterung der körperlichen und psychischen Gesundheit führen. Bislang wurden eine Reihe spezifischer Interventionsansätze zur Unterstützung von pflegenden Angehörigen entwickelt und erfolgreich evaluiert. In dem Kapitel wird ein Überblick über die häufigsten Belastungsfaktoren von pflegenden Angehörigen, Instrumente zur Erhebung der Pflegebelastung sowie wichtige Elementen in der Therapie und Beratung mit dieser Zielgruppe gegeben.
