Zusammenfassung
In diesem Kapitel soll der Fokus auf Sprichwörter aus China gelegt werden, da Redewendungen und Sprichwörter über diverse Kulturkreise verbreitet sind und sich mit den jeweiligen typischen Eigenheiten auseinandersetzen. Hierbei wird das Sprichwort „Eine Reise von tausend Meilen beginnt mit dem ersten Schritt“ auf seine Aussagekraft untersucht. Die zentralen Fragen sind hierbei, wann und warum dieses Sprichwort Gültigkeit besitzt und ob es Umstände gibt, unter denen das Gegensprichwort „Tue nichts und alles ist getan“ bessere Vorhersagen bezüglich des menschlichen Verhaltens zulässt. Das Kapitel endet mit praktischen Implikationen für den Berufs- und Arbeitskontext, welche auf Basis der zuvor vorgestellten wissenschaftlichen Ergebnisse abgeleitet wurden.
